Art and Craft Tours

The Hawkesbury is home to many Australian artists and craftspeople. There are many galleries as well as small studios. Meet the artists in person and see some of them in action. The local artists do all sorts of things from Painting in oils, watercolours and mixed media to pottery, patchwork, Rocking Horse makers and many more.


Botanical Artist Elaine Musgrave is an international gold medal recipient. Visitors are able to watch her at work in the gallery visiting her garden is an experience also. There are also works by other artists on display.


Mellissa Read- Devine is a painter, printmaker and sculptor. Her studio set among the sandstone cliffs and bush land is rich in birdlife. Her style ranges from vibrant flower and bird acrylics, textural abstracts and intricate woodcuts.


Lynne James owns Alyn Cottage Gallery. the art here is varied from Australian animals to the RAAF. there is also art and craft for sales. You can also sit back and enjoy the bush while you relax over a cuppa.


Yvonne West works in a variety of medium but prefers oils. She has a small studio where you can see her work from all over the country. She has classes and is open by appointment.
