a member of the Hawkesbury Historical Society, will be your guide Come along on a lantern lit
Heritage Walk around Windsor.
Tour starts at 7 Thompson's Square Windsor (Next to the Macquarie Arms Hotel)
Visit Green Hills Burial Ground. Feel the presence of the convicts who were hanged at Windsor
Courthouse and laid to rest without ceremony. View the “Macquarie Arms Hotel”, the oldest
Hotel in Australia still being used for its original purpose. Feel the aura of important men and
women from days gone by as you walk where Governor Macquarie planned the future of our
country. You may feel the presence of Mary who died here in the 1800's. At the end of the tour
relax and ponder the sights and sounds of the evening. Tours start at 7pm and includes supper.
Dinner and the ghost tour costs $50 per person and starts at 6pm at Trentino's Restaurant,
89 George Street Windsor. Ghost tour and supper costs $30 per person and the tour
starts at 7pm at 7 Thompson's Square in Windsor.
There is a special price of $100 for 4 people and this is the tour only no supper or dinner.
NOTE Comfortable walking shoes are essential! Sandals are not appropriate. Bring a camera.
Ghost Tours run on Saturday nights. Tours can be run through the week for groups of 10 to
24. Tour runs rain hail or shine. If you book and then decide not to go we will give you a
voucher to use at a later date.
Buy a voucher for a gift so the recipient can choose their own tour. Tour dates available from Saturday 18th and 25th February for tour and supper
and from the 3rd March (the first Saturday of the month)for tour and dinner.
Walking Tours of Windsor
Tours start at 9am and go for
2 hours and the walk is about 3 km. Tours Start in
Thompson's Square near the anchor. Wear walking shoes bring a hat,
water, sunscreen and a camera to catch all the heritage of Windsor. Feel
the history of area while you wander past historic buildings. Visit one
of the oldest churches and graveyards in the Hawkesbury. After the tour
sit back and relax while you enjoy morning tea. Tours cost $30 per
person for.
