Wineries of The Hawkesbury Tours

There are several wineries in the Historic Hawkesbury area. See how wine is made and taste  the local Australian wine. Enjoy a day out while you meander through the picturesque countryside while doing a wine tour.

Tizzana Winery vineyard was originally planted in 1882 by Dr Thomas Fiasci. The winery was built in 1887. The wines made here and at his Mudgee winery were shipped down The Hawkesbury River to Sydney to supply Dr Fiaschi's wine bar in  Little George Street. At Tizzana you can also try wines from other Hawkesbury wineries.

Jubilee Estate winery is located on Tizzana Lagoon, near the Hawkesbury River, within a unique, picturesque valley that is reminiscent of Europe.

The famous Italian surgeon, Dr Thomas Fiaschi, impressed with the geography and soil of the area, purchased 250 acres of land at "Sackville Reach" and commenced establishing his famous 55 acre vineyards and sandstone winery in 1885. He called it "Tizzana" as it reminded him of his village on the outskirts of Florence, Italy. After destruction by bushfire in the 1950s, the property was later subdivided.

"Jubilee Vineyard Estate" was re-established directly in front of Tizzana Winery in 2001, and was named after one of Dr Fiaschi's original Tizzana vineyards. The 27 acre property is located just over an hours drive from the centre of Sydney.
